My life changed with the birth of my two children with the transition from many years as an environmental scientist and manager to a “stay at home Mum”. Like many of you out there I wanted to continue to help with the family finances so decided to set up a small home internet business.
In my search for small business ideas I came across all sorts of schemes offering “6 figures in 2 months” and companies assuring me that this was “THE right time” to join. But something was missing. With most I felt my personal integrity and beliefs would be greatly compromised. Of course we all want to make a profit with our business but wouldn’t it be even better to do this in a socially and environmentally-responsible manner where it’s a win-win for everyone?
This got me thinking – I had the skills – why not! So here I am. I will provide you with small business training to set up a responsible business. We will have fun along the way. I am passionate about making the world a better place for my children and the generations to come, and helping others achieve this as well. Building strong, loyal relationships with friends, colleagues, and customers is central to who I am. Living sustainable and giving back to the planet and its people is also very important to me. Along our journey you will also find out that I love the outdoors and am lucky enough to get to spend lots of time skiing, hiking and exploring the backcountry of New Zealand with my husband and two children.
